Dining Room Design

The sun was out today!  I ran around in a tank top determined to believe it was warm... And it worked some of the time.

Yesterday I promised to show you the fruit of my labor, it started in the dining room with a little art-redesigning, I moved some furniture out, giving the room a much more open feel.

Before:

And now......

It feels so much better now, and with more seating since I added the bench (which will have cushions after I make them).
Then just a couple adjustment in my living room.

I added a collage of matching paintings to the wall above my couch.

SO many things I want to do and SO little time... I have pillows I want to design for my couch this spring, some furniture to move and replace etc... As soon as time comes available!

Here's an up close of the large frame in the middle, it's an "Block Print" from a wood block carving Jonathan made, then rolled ink and printed it. It's a etching of Michelangelo's " Lorinzo De' Medici".

Today I am linking to:
"Bella Before and After"
and "Sew Chatty"

  6. Wow~! How lucky are you, married to an artist? Your husband does beautiful work.

I like the changes to your dining room. That's a great arch in the doorway. Good luck with your seat cushions. I'm thinking about doing some for our dining room as well.

  8. What an awesome post. Your artwork is beautiful, and the way you have placed the pictures on your walls is wonderful. Love that arched doorway. It reminds me of our home in Palm Beach. All of the opened in that house were arched.
